Sheath: Loveless-Style Brown Leather, Embossed. Do not store knife in leather sheath long term because the chemicals in leather can corrode/tarnish metal.
Description: Knife legend Bob Loveless designed the Chute Knife at the behest of paratrooper Harry Archer. It is a short combat knife with a thick blade, not a hunting knife. The swage runs half the spine. The swage on his rare Mini-Wilderness model runs the full spine, a more difficult knife to produce. The fully ground spine results in a chute knife with greater fighting capability but sacrifices spine flat that might otherwise be used for batoning.
The blade on this knife is mirror finish Böhler 440C Tool Steel, professionally tempered to HRC 58. The hilt is made of AISI 430 stainless steel.
The swage is pretty thin, about like a sharpened axe, so while it won't cut paper this knife will run afoul of most state dagger laws.
Note that the camel bone is a natural material and forge used its natural shape as much as possible, so the two sides are not symmetric or in perfect curves. Pay close attention to the photos of the handle.
