The PEW and the Fat Belly PEW were developed with input from ex-special forces, law enforcement and contractor operatives. The Fat Belly PEW is especially good for comfort and retention. Based on market demand, we are going to only make Fat Belly PEWs going forward so from now on when you see the name PEW it will have the Fat Belly Handle.
This is a full tang combat knife with AISI 304 stainless steel bolsters. The ergonomic handle is extremely comfortable, with generous bottom quillons to promote retention. The Blade Steel is Böhler 440C Tool Steel. This is an unusual PEW in that there is a Persian/Searles Bowie-type tip. The handle is ergonomically shaped for easier retention. There is gimping on both sides of the thumb rest.
